YMCA of Central Kentucky President and CEO, David Martorano, has stepped down and Paula Anderson has been named as the Chief Operating Officer.

CLOSED
Cowboy Brazilian Steakhouse on Richmond Road near Lexington’s Idle Hour neighborhood has closed, according to a sign posted on its doors. The steakhouse opened in Fall of 2018 after former tenants, Coba Cocina, closed in 2016.

Bluegrass SHRM October Meeting
Friday October 18. Legal Update for HR Professionals: New Laws, Hot Topics, and Best Practices Speakers: The Attorneys of Fisher Phillips. Session to be followed by Keeneland Social. This session provided by the attorneys of Fisher Phillips will include a panel update on a variety of employment law topics as well as several topic updates including the latest developments on ADA and FMLA, pay equity/salary history bans, immigration and ICE update, employee privacy/social media and more. Legal session is hosted at the Grand Reserve. Complimentary shuttle provided to Keeneland for those who’ve purchased grandstand tickets. (Keeneland tickets are first come, first served.) UK’s 1-year MBA Open House is Wednesday October 23 at 5:30 pm at the Gatton College of Business and Economics. This is an opportunity for students to learn more about the program, faculty, staff, and alumni. Space is limited, and registration is required.

Preston Greens, a new luxury senior living community, is coming to Lexington in 2020. The new community hosted a ribbon cutting at their Little Herb Way location in September to celebrate the official opening of the leasing office. The 7th Annual Women in Business Expo is October 18 at the downtown Hilton. This annual conference is a day filled with informative breakout sessions, exhibitor booths, networking and a highly anticipated business pitch contest.
