Healy has 30 years worth of McDonald’s experience and is a second-generation McDonald’s franchisee who took over his father’s restaurant. His father, Jerry Healy, is a former recipient of this award with his time at McDonald’s from 1974 to 2009.

“The Ronald Award has been a goal of mine I have had for decades,” said Healy. “Words can’t express my gratitude and appreciation for this honor and my community.”

Healy is not only an operator of his local McDonald’s, but he was a past president of the Ronald McDonald House in Lexington. He is an active member on multiple executive boards including the Kentucky State Law Enforcement Memorial Foundation, Trustee at Sayre School, and the Kentucky Children’s Hospital.

“The Healy Organization has quickly risen to be a trusted leader within the Kentucky area,” said William Armstrong, vice president, McDonald’s Columbus Field Office. “Kelly and the members of his organization are constantly looking for new and better ways to elevate the McDonald’s experience for our guests. As we continue on our journey to building a better McDonald’s, we are truly grateful for franchisees like them, whose commitment to excellence benefits both guests and his employees.”
