Father Jim Sichko, who in February 2016 Pope Francis commissioned as one of his Papal Missionaries of Mercy, serves in the Diocese of Lexington, Kentucky.

Known for his random acts of generosity and kindness, Fr. Jim was honored by the US Congress and has made headlines on many occasions giving away thousands of dollars to people at the grocery store and on the street.

Fr. Jim Sichko gave a bottle of 23-year-old Pappy Van Winkle bourbon to Pope Francis at The Meeting of the Missionaries of Mercy in Vatican City.

According to Buffalo Trace Distillery “This very rare, limited edition bourbon takes generations of distilling know-how to produce. Only the most careful and expensive distilling method can be used to create a whiskey as special as this one. Each barrel ages for 23 years and is carefully selected from the heart of the warehouse. This whiskey should be enjoyed neat.”
